The Colorado Treble Festival is proud to present "Their Words, Our Voices," a concert celebrating the powerful partnership between poetry and treble singing. This year’s program explores how text comes to life through music and how words are shaped, deepened, and elevated when sung together in community.

Our choir comprises treble singers of all ages – Adams 12 Five Star high school students, college students, and adults, coming together for a day of preparation and singing. Experience the beauty of multigenerational voices, including families singing side by side, current and former Safonia members, and talented singers from community choruses across Denver. The concert will also feature singers traveling from different cities across Colorado.

The festival opens with Joy by Hans Bridger Heruth, a celebration of the freedom found in self-discovery. The text, by Sara Teasdale calls us to recognize the spark of joy within ourselves and each other, and the music amplifies that sense of momentum and shared uplift.

David Childs’ Where Your Barefoot Walks, set to poetry by Rumi, offers a moment of stillness and tenderness. Its imagery creates a world of warmth and welcome; an intimate space where words become gestures of comfort, grounding, and love.
The program concludes with Jocelyn Hagen’s Starting Now, a piece rooted in possibility. Its text, by Joyce Sidman, speaks to renewal, courage, and the decision to begin again. Hagen’s music transforms those words into an anthem of forward motion and collective hope.

Their Words, Our Voices is more than a choral concert. It is a celebration of how poetry and music strengthen one another, and how voices raised together can carry meaning far beyond the page.

The concert will be held at 5:00pm on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Mountain Range High School, 12500 Huron St, Westminster, CO 80234.
